Tipalea Partners are proud to announce their latest scholarship recipients from Western Sydney University (WSU).
With a keen interest in supporting WSU students and fostering their interest in the property industry, Tipalea Partners have been providing scholarships to students in Property Economics since 2018.
The scholarship program not only includes a financial component to support tuition costs, but also mentoring and work experience with the company. Throughout their three-year degree, recipients gain practical knowledge and experience through workshops in the office or site visits with the team.
The three groups of students welcomed so far, have enjoyed the opportunity to gain an introductory understanding of key learnings through first-hand experience in the property landscape. On a regular basis, senior staff at Tipalea Partners mentor students in their office or take them out to development sites.
Tipalea Partners is enormously proud of what these students have achieved through their program. 2018 winners, Tom Falconer, Jack Hunter, and Tara Starr, have all progressed to full-time roles with significant industry players, GPT and SCA. Jack Hunter recently joined the Tipalea team full-time as an Assistant Development Manager.
2020 recipients – Bailey Gentle, Isaac Papadatos, and Hassan Awick – are going into their final year of their studies and we continue to meet with them on a regular basis. We look forward to seeing what opportunities await these students.
Finally, our 2021 recipients are: Ethan Green and Linda Cao. We are excited to welcome Ethan and Linda to the program and look forward to introducing them to the team very soon for our first workshop together.
All eight students that have joined the scholarship program so far have seen incredible opportunities come their way. The knowledge and experience gained is invaluable to their careers in the property industry. Many of the students have secured highly sought pre-graduate internships with major listed Australian REITs.
Many Tipalea Partners staff are alumni of WSU, including CEO, Scott Spanton, Development Manager, Hamish Lamont and now Jack Hunter. They feel fortunate to be in a position to give something back to the community and support students at WSU after their own valuable education from this institution.
